Jeff Davis county is located in far west Texas. It has a population of just over two thousand people and covers an area of 2,265 square miles. Employment mainly comes from ranching, the national park of Fort Davis, a state park, and the McDonald Observatory. However, there are many other trades and skills that make the county sustainable.
